Today's MeetingThanks to everyone for making it a great Visitor Focus Day! A few members gave some positive feedback immediately after the meeting, and on the whole, I think it was a roaring success. Not only did we see referrals passed to Visitors, but there were some great contacts made, and I'm sure we've generated some interest. More than one visitor expressed an interest in returning. And so, barring any major objections, we will turn thoughts to our next Visitor Focus Day. Pencil the date in your diary ... Tuesday 24th November ... and get your thoughts to me on what the "theme" should be. I think that having a focus is important for getting visitors, as demonstrated today, even though we had very few "Entertainers". Get your ideas to me via email, and we'll get a decision made in the next week or so. On the subject of visitors, please bear in mind the following ... they should not be a member of another chapter. Whilst we tolerate BNI members as subs, every effort should be made to ensure Visitors are eligible to join the chapter (even if they choose not to). At the very least, they should be able to pass business to our members via referral. It was great to see an almost-flawless attendance today, and some great presentations. Why not give me a selection headache next week, and give me a polished 60 seconds to match my shiny Tudor Cup! ;o) Events & AnnouncementsWe seem a little bereft of dates for upcoming training workshops, but for those needing/wanting to attend MST, please see below. It may be a trek, but being at BNI HQ means there's no fee! Members Success TrainingThurs 12th November 2009 BNI National Office, Church Street SocialLindsey has found a great night out for all our Members on Guy Fawkes Night, 5th November, at Syon House and Park. Before the fireworks kick off, there's an opportunity to sit down for dinner and drinks at the nearby London Apprentice on the riverside in Old Isleworth. If anyone is interested, please let Lindsey know ASAP. I'll see you there! Any Other BusinessPaulSadly, Paul Thorpe has decided to leave Tudor with immediate effect. I'm sure you have all seen his farewell email of today, and will join me in wishing him the very best for the future success of his business. It's an important remider that we need to look beyond the "usual suspects" or Power groups when referring business BannersPop-up banners. If you have one, feel free to bring it in to the meetings and show it off to the room. With more and more visitors planned for the next few months, it's an opportunity to get more eyes on your brand! And Finally...Members Day last Friday was a great success, and the speakers offered some valuable insight into how to sell more, improve your presentations, and enjoy your overall BNI experience. For those who couldn't make it, why not check out the website of (in my opinion) one of the stronger speakers, Andy Bounds, at www.andybounds.com There are some great tips on how to improve your sales pitch, and provide your prospects with the confidence that you'll deliver exactly what they want. Make sure you attend next year's Members Day, as it's one of the best places to make valuable connections and gain valuable insight into how to do business. Have a great week!
